Does anyone have a 6-sided polygon mirror from a laser printer or out of some sort of laser scanning application? I actually had one from an old laser printer but threw it away. The ones on ebay are way too expensive for the project I want to complete.
Thanks.

What kinds of laser printers have that mirror in usable form? Because I might be able to snag some old Laserjets for cheap from my university.

I'm not exactly sure - It's hard to say as designs on laser printers vary so much. Also, the printer has to be ripped to bits just to extract one small component. I've been considering doing the same at my university. I'll wait it out and see what our systems administrator says.
Thanks,
Matt.
