here is the link for DX. it is a 20 pack for >17.00. it averages out to around .85/ea. i think they are 17mm if you wanted to bore out a lip on the bottom of the heatsinks for them to sit nicely in...

Problem with those is, they are Neg- side regulators. You can use with open can reds, but have to either isolate the diode, or wire between the batt. and the switch.

They are better suited to 808nm + ground diodes, anything - ground is a pain with these :mad:

* If you have a look at the IR diode pen insert I sent you, it is the same chip, different board, and - regulated.
Should you use this with an open can red, if the axiz case touches the body of the host, the diode sees all of the current, and , p00f!

i would take the components off of the board and use it as contact for the host and battery to connect to driver (DDL, flexdrive, rkcstr, etc.). not to use boards as the driver itself. just contact points that go on the end of the heatsinks.

thats what i was going to do was just rip every thing off and solder my pos and neg wires on but thanks for the heads up wannaburn ;)
