Hey Laser Buddies,
I've uploaded two new videos, this time Wicked Lasers Arctic vs. Balloons.
The laser is G2 model (with secure smart switch), measuring 730mW on my LaserBee I Deluxe LPM.
The videos demonstrate very well that popping (or burning) capability is not just a function of power, but also of beam size and wavelength (color of laser vs. color of object).
The first video shows its capability to pop red, orange and yellow balloons. It doesn't pop as well as my less powerful >500mW green CNI, because its beam is wider.
The second video shows balloons of other colors, showing brown balloon popping instantly while pink and white balloons don't pop at all.
If I had dark black balloons they would all pop instantly, probably from few meters distance, and on the other hand this laser is incapable of popping white, blue or light colored balloons despite its power.
Ohad
Reminder:
This is the original balloons in bath tub video with the CNI green >500mW:
