Which Green Laser Should I Buy?

I was checking out Wicked lasers, and those lasers look really good, but their pricey. I don't understand why they're so expensive.. I want to spend 100 dollars.

I was thinking of Wicked Lasers Executive Pro Classic 20mW. But i've read a lot of reviews saying that it'll break, not worth the buck, etc.

I saw the Optotronics Premium +55mW Green Laser. I heard their lasers are quality, and powerful.

I also saw the KD 100mW Green Laser Pointer V1. Thats like 60 bucks, and its 100mw, but it looks a little cheap. Maybe with that I could buy a core, and have two lasers for around 100$.

Which laser should I get? I want something sturdy, and powerful. :thanks:

First, decide what you are going to use it for. That will help you decide how many mW you will need. Then buy the most laser you can afford in that power range.

Also, if you read a bit more, you will realize that what WE think is "powerful" will be nowhere close to what you think is powerful ;)

Peace,
dave

What do you want to do with your laser? If you want burning power you can get a 200mW red burner for around $60, if you're looking for a highly visible beam you would want to go with a green.

I think i'm going to get the Optotronics Premium +55mW Green Laser
I read that Optotronics makes a sturdy product. Do you know anything on that laser?

I want a highly visible green beam. Mostly for messing around at night. If i can burn stuff that would be awesome too.

for my first laser, i'd like to buy from a company with a warranty. nothing personal, sorry. Any suggestions on other lasers? commentary on Optotronics Premium +55mW Green Laser?

No problem, it's been sold already. If you want the most mW for $100, Optotronics is not the best way to go. Though, from what I read here, they are good in terms of quality, warranty and shipping speed. But, of course, you pay extra for these.

And thanks John ;)

I recommend o-like.com or rayfoss.com, they will definetely give you the most mW to $

Both of those websites aren't working. But I'm willing to sacrifice mW for the quality of the laser. I don't want to spend 100 on a laser and it fail on me. I've heard bad stories from wicked lasers...

If you want (what I believe to be) the best power to quality to cost triangle... go Optotronics. I've got a 150mW pen from them and it's brilliant.

You won't regret it. :)

I agree, ordered my 200mW from Rayfoss as my first laser.

If you want power for cheap, go with one of these, plus there are reviews up on their lasers..
