when will we see 500mw + lasers for cheap

i was hearing talk of green lasers starting next year, were possibly get as cheap as blue lasers appox approx 1w ($200).. is that going to happen anytime soon ya'll think. and what about yellow any expectation of those being higher power and around same price any time soon?

Considering that the yellow ones are about $50 per mW I doubt they will come down in price that much either

In a couple of years I bet. Green diodes are one of the hottest things in the laser world right now, and I bet the projector/show manufacturers can't wait to get rid of DPSS once and for all. There is huge earning potential for the company that makes the first stable high powered (500mW+) green diode, so there is a lot of scientists working on it as we speak.
