Whats wrong with my laser?

Recently wanted to use my new Lazerer laser and it kept getting dim, even on full new batteries. Now its not making a beam at all, only a either glassy circle, is there anything I can do to fix this, thanks!

EDIT: Also it just keeps flashing like a very faint red ember in the middle now if I use it.

have you try cleaning the lens? if yes then the lens inside melted....means you better bury your laser in your backyard... it's an expensive lost but....buy from Sci-fi or Sanwu if you want high quality stuff.... if you want something custom built then contact me or many others lpf member. and add your location to your profile is a great start.

Clean the lenses, check the battery. If that doesn't help, try bypassing tailcap, could be a bad switch. If that doesn't help and you have a multimeter, see how much power the laser is drawing when on.

With that eliminated, it's down to either the diode or the driver.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but my guess is the diode LEDed.
