I have the same model. It's a decent laser.

The visibility of the beam depends on what power it is. If it's 50mW it will be easily visible in the dark.

and also, should i have any problem getting this through us customs?

You shouldn't have a problem with customs. Most lasers are marked as "flashlights" which ensures they pass customers quickly and with ease.

If it is 50mW+ and you want to use it for burning and such, you will want to get laser safety glasses if you haven't already.
If you are only using it outside for pointing at stars you should be fine without them.
If it is 50mW+ the beam will be visible at night and look amazing in fog.

EDIT: 50th post!
