what should the new Kryton be??

Hello everyone.  This is an interest poll to see what folks would like to see for the next run of Kryton laser barrels.  Should it be a AAA side mounted version.  A version for a c-mount laser diode with larger head for additional heatsinking?  Or should I make a module like http://www.dealextreme.com/photogallery.dx/sku.10004~seQ.4?

I'm personally inclined to say Labby Module.

There are heatsinks and stuff for lots of different hosts on these forums now, but there really isn't anyone selling Labby heatsinks. There's the ones on DX of course, but laser restrictions may soon cut off that source.

Yeah and there's really no option for your own bluray or red homebuilt labby. For those interested in eventually making thier own scanner and or spyrograph, these are a great idea. Can you modify the existing module to work for a red or bluray?

You mean the DX labby? I know there have been people who have done that, apparently it fits an aixiz quite nicely.

But still, I mean, it's DX. And at the moment it's the only real option. We need a quality alternative

Whats wrong with you people. C-Mount!

I know a guy that makes custom cut KTP/YVO4 crystals.
You could design the head to fit what ever cut he dose.

You would also need a head that doesn't have a crystal mount. (For use with 650nm & 635nm C-Mounts)

I was actually going to suggest that for the labby, the whole crystal mount changeable with a normal diode mount.

C-mounts are a little harder to come across though, granted you generally get A LOT more power.

Actually C-Mounts are very common and very cheap for the power.

I'm going to have to go with a C-mount, you could build 5 WATT 808nm handhelds for a couple hundred dollars, or a 2 Watt for about a hundred. (not including the barrel)

Labby. I plan on doing a RGV spiro and it would be nice to have a good lba style HS to mount the diodes in.

the us ban will ends soon most likely.dragon laser have stopped but they will start on the 15th.will these be the same price.
