Lots of people seem to think these cheap Chinese drivers aren't very stable and will kill your diodes... but I have had different experiences. In most of my builds, I have used these converted LED drivers without *any* stability caps attached, and they have been running perfectly. And look at it - it has built in tantalums. Those things are beastly.

Point being, I don't think it's necessary. There is nothing wrong with adding one if you have the space, and all it can do is make it safer, but I don't think it's necessary.
