anyone know where to reference the sizes of the batteries to the generic battery size. i.e. CR2, CR123, AAA, AA, etc. i am trying to find a 3.6v that is the size of 2xCR2's.

An 18650...dang...beat me.

From looking at a couple of datasheets, an 18650 is a little bigger than 2x CR2's but a little smaller (in length) than 2x CR123A's.

Diameter x Length
CR2 - 15.6mm x 27mm
CR123A - 17mm x 34.5mm
18650 - 18.4mm x 65mm

CR2 = 15266 / 15270
CR123A = 16335 / 16340
AAA = 10440
AA = 14500
C = 25500

i already have 1 coleman max led with an 18650 in it. had to put it on a lathe and shave the walls.
that's it in the background. when i enlarged the diameter of the battery cavity, the groves in the side were opened. a screw up on my end, but it turned out pretty neat to me.

A 17670 is another option if it could take a slightly longer battery.

Flashlight Forums has a good chart for reference.  I don't think you'll find what you're specifically looking for - which would be a 15650.
