Please, Anybody, I need some help, I bought a Toshiba HD-DVD Standalone But cannot find any Model or serial #'s on it. I'd like to know if I got the 811 diode, so where would I look for that info ? Anybody's help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't think GooeyGus could found a serial code on his sled either, there isn't an 803T or 811 sled in those IIRC.

I got my 0811 from a Toshiba HD-A2 standalone HD-DVD player, so yours could very well have the same thing.

The HD-A3 has some unknown diode in it, which seems to be safe to drive at 100mA as mine died at 150mA. The output mW per mA was pretty even 1:1 up past 70mA, for example 100mW @ 100mA

Oh I forgot too, the sled in the HD-A3 has a copper colored metal covering the optics of the sled. It makes the sled stand out a bit and may help us identify it in other devices. Also, the diode has a number on the back of it, I cant remember exactly what it is but I want to say it was something like B0223
