Very nice ! I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say the camera REALLY doesn't do the color justice, it's so much nicer in person .

Yes, I do agree. My camera can't capture the color correctly, it shows it as blue when in fact its more of a turquoise.

I need to get a proper fan for cooling, although my vacuum is working for now :)

Lol, if it works then it's fine :P

I have a camera that pics up green @ 532 as more of a 514nm shade of green, rather than lime green , actually looks quite nice. I've not seen many cameras pick up 488nm very well.

once again LOL, its not a time tunnel, its just called a tunnel.

it does nothing to time!! :)

Beautiful :)

lol...I wonder where that came from...cause that's what I called it also

I think the term 'time tunnel' arose from the looks of the tunnel itself. With the smoke going through the projected tunnel, it really looks like a crazy sci-fi effect. If I found a tunnel that would allow me to travel through time, I would assume it would look like a nice foggy laser tunnel effect ;D ;D I guess it just looks like what we all imagine the innards of a 'worm hole' to look like.

LOL

its always been called just a tunnel, now everyone seems to be adding time to the front. ;)

its a tunnel which i think we all agree with but has ntohing to do with time.

lol only messing

The thing I love about gas lasers is the usually VERY clean beam, that also has great specs 8-)

Yes, but this argon I have here doesn't seem to have all that good divergence.

Is that just a characteristic of argon lasers?

Not really lol, the smaller air cooled tubes don't have as good divergence as the larger water cooled heads ( simply due to a longer bore ) the divergence should probably be 1-1.2mRad for a small air cooled head like yours.

Are you certain? The larger frame argons are multimode and therefore generally have worse divergence. My SP 163 has <1mRad while my HGM has ~2-3mRad.
