Readers and watchers in the Multimedia forum section,

allow me to post a multimedia sort-of-a-review:

"The Greed Twins"

This thread is basically meant to be a mini tribute to Blord. I could write about this skilful builder and fully trusted forum member in many superlatives, but the fact is most of the regular members know his astonishing work and that's what matters most in the end of the day:).
Just wanted to share with all of you, who like Blord's workmanship and also to show another bit of my collection:D.

I've decided to dedicate the article to 2 particular lasers:
Magic Sticks MS-V1, first generation host design created by sinner. More info can be actually found in Blord's older review well known to many of you:

http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/magic-stick-msv1-1watt-638nm-greed-79543.html

I believe his original review explains enough about the "cherry red" in great detail, so no more words are needed here. Historically, the first MS-V1 I bought off him wasn't the 638nm version, but very efficient 445nm 3W Magic Stick. The reason why I ultimately chose to own 2 very same looking lasers with different wavelengths was simple: a powerful red blue pair of great beamers;).

All pictures are a result of a Nikon D5200 borrowed once again from a good friend of mine. Since he's abroad for 2 months and owns another DSLR, he was kind enough to leave his "less powerful" camera in my possession for the time being:D. Will try to get as much as I can out of it!

I hope the general picture overview will give them two lasers at least some justice, everyone is free to comment, guys:).

Here we go!

Re: The "Greed Twins"

I love hosts that are identical but have different colors to indicate wavelength without the need to turn it on. these are beautiful, rep if I can.

the problem with taking beam shots indoors with class IV and many class IIIb is the light scatter from the dot is so bright it makes the beam appear dimmer, it's amazing the difference taking them outside makes. very nice beam shots, just don't flash them on and off too much, people will think it's the police:crackup::crackup:

Re: The "Greed Twins"

Thanks for the feedback, guys:).

tmackbb4 & NKO29: gentlemen, you're gonna like your lasers, have no doubt about that. The coating I used on my MS-V1's was done due to cosmetic & practical reason: they look somewhat better and finally can tell which is which:D.

Shakenawake: using both sticks indoors was surely a fun, one time I lost concentration and made a little hole in my trousers when crossed the path of the blue beam for a fraction of a sec perhaps 2 meters away! Must be more careful next time, lol.
Police wouldn't show up, made them pics over the weekend:D...seriously now, I was well hidden at the photo-shooting place, public excluded.

KapHn8d & sinner: I'm starting to like laser photography more & more, your words motivate me a lot. Sinner, you know yourself, never forget your first...laser design:). Your avatar says it all!

Two more explanatory pics added.

Re: The "Greed Twins"

Wow! Those are two awesome lasers. I like the red & blue accents on the hosts.

The Nikon DSLR's take really good laser photos. I've used a freinds D5000 to take most of my good shots. It's great to have friends with good photo equipment :D

Re: The "Greed Twins"

Thanks, ARG:beer:. My friend owns a Canon 5D III, which is his primary DSLR atm, so left me with this baby in the meantime. I well might be buying it off him, it's in great condition and he could give me some ... ehm ... discount, you know.

A good friend, indeed:D.

Re: The "Greed Twins"

Thanks for the comment, Blaster:).

Grainde, I can actually thank you, because it was you who asked for the "two Greeds" in action, so eventually I've decided to give it a go. Cheers for your support, too:beer:.
