This was built as the RED follow-up to the BLUE "Ancient Light" build here. The "Elder Beam" is another antique torch conversion, with a few new innovations relative to it's younger (older?) brother.

- Mitsubishi 635 @ ~500mW.
- Giant heatsink, tapered, and polished.
- Uses the Mosquito RED 1A single cell driver.
- Original antique dual clicky - momentary and on/off.

Here's where it gets neat :)

- Built in lithium ion cell, with charging port inside the rear tailcap.
- Integrated voltmeter triggers when the beam is active, shows the cell's voltage to indicate whether charging is required.

That's awesome!

Where did you get that voltage meter? All the ones I have seen needed two li-ion cells.

 Got any more of those LED meters? I think you have me sold on the internal battery on these old lights.

That looks awesome!

I grabbed the meter from someone over on CPF. But I think with some searching (particularly for the keyword "1S") you should be able to find whatever source they purchased from.

A real old fashion clicky. They are a pain in ass to adjust if the metals inside are bend.
I have also an old metal flashlight for 1 AA battery. I have to find it first in boxes at the attic. Maybe suitable for a laser. :D
