test load with 10ohm resistor?

I made a test load with 10 ohm resistor because I can not find a 1ohm resistor. How do I calculate the mA by measuring the voltage across this resistor?

I think you just multiply the mV reading by 10, I can't remember though if it's multiply or divide. :-/

It's a divide. The typical voltage-current-resistance triangle. Cover the one you want to find, and the other two will make the equation (refer to the picture attached). In this case it'd be Volts divided by resistance.

1 Volt across a 1 Ohm resistor equals 1 Amp.
2 volt across a 1 Ohm resistor equals 2 Amps etc. ;)
