Why are all the sick looking stainless host being discontinued!

The polished Aurora stainless from Kaidomain is discontinued,

The Cree RL 118 stainless is discontinued from DH gate and everywhere else

After purchasing this Tank 007 from Kaidomain it is out of stock,
Anyway this is a really nice looking small host for a 14500 battery, I had one
Nano left and another 3.8mm 12x206 so I had to do another mini burner,
Got some more G2s and with a cheapo 14500 bat I got a reading of 720mw on my tec based LPM and it was still rising when I turned it of it was getting warm after 20 seconds, so not a bad little burner at 500ma.

I did manage to purchase an RL118 from China I've been waiting for 3 weeks already can't wait I've got a brand new 9mm diode and boost driver for it.

Thanks for looking!

Hey Red
It's a 12x206 buddy not as powerful as a 209 but still very nice,
It is a nice host but it should be for $40.

Nice one as always Mr.Bad
I'll see if I can REP you yet. Great to see someone building and not just talking;)

Before I got my Ophir a couple years ago I had (and still do) a TEC BASED unit and what I would do is take a reading first and see about where it was going to climb to and then let it cool, put new fully charged cells in and then use a different laser that was around the same output as I expected the new one to be and used it to get the reading up first so you could get a decent reading with I UT having to either never reach the peak or having to turn it off because of potential diode overheating.
Anyways, I really do appreciate you newer guys who post real builds. We need you guys to take up the torch and keep things going.
That was a pretty good suggestion about showing how you put it all together even if it was really simple. We need to encourage others that they can do it too and although in the beginning it can be stressful if you jump in with one that is complicated you can start with just soldering a couple wires and work your way up.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with buying as I certainly have done plenty of that but anyone with $ can do that. Building what you actually want is far more rewarding in my opinion.

Thanks Pman
I need to get me an Ophir head
It is much more rewarding building what you want, I love it.
Did you check out my nubmo7e coast build in the 445 section

Hi BBB,
I'm thinking toward a PLP520-B1 with a boost drive set between 400 and 460MA's hopefully getting around 180mW to 200mW;s g2 lens 1-10440 cell with a dummy. Or a single mode Blue...

Cool nice choice
That is a nice diode I have similar specs in a stainless host with a moded stainless rear switch,
Actually I haven't posted a thread on this one turned out nice!

I guess the host is modified from a flashlight because I have one that look very similar. Is the LPM also a DIY?
