what is the nm of the 16x DVD burner diodes?? Will 632.8nm goggles work with this??

It depends on the full range of wavelengths covered by the goggles, do you know what that is?

They're 650 - 660nm, mostly on the 660nm side. I second what styro said.

the goggles i have say 632.8nm, thats all they say. i dont know if it will block enough light. do you think its safe?

Sorry, but we need more info than that. It might work for 650nm, but it could also let anything over 633nm right through.

Ask the manufacturer how much the OD rating will drop if you go above or below the recommended wavelength.

Essentially a DVD laser diode will put out in the wavelength of 660nm-670nm. Usually more closer to 670nm. You can test the efficiency of your shades by shining your laser through the goggles onto a laser power meter. testing the transmission through the goggles will give you the effective blockin capabilities of your shades. Hope that helps.
