Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know I found out that the Spyder III model form Wicked Lasers will also be available in lower output models as well as the high ones. Many people seemed to like the Spyder III design and had requested it be available in other formats. They will apparently be ready in about 2 weeks from now.

Sounds good. The design of the Spyder III is quite nice in my book. What sort of "lower" power levels do you mean? ~200 mw?

Seems there will be 5/50/100/200 and 300mW models in addition to the 400/500 mW models.

I'm not sure about 5mw... That would be pretty odd. Where did you see this?
The laser is way to much for me to ever consider, so I wouldn't even think a 5mw would be a descent price for me lol.

I have always thought that the Spyder II was the best looking laser on the market. It is much more discrete than the Spyder III, and would be easier to mount on a telescope or rifle. The Spyder III looks like a sword hilt from some absurdly over-embellished video game character.
Wicked should consider selling lower power Spyder IIs. I'd get one.

Im glad opinions are just that..

The spyder II is definitely a bit more sheepish compared to the Spyder III.

I heard about the lower outputs directly from the horses mouth so to speak. After hearing it, I went to check out the Spyder III model on Wickeds site and it showed these outputs available to choose from. I agree 5mW is strange, but non-the-less it is listed there.

Yep, your correct. I guess we will see how it goes (if they keep them and actually sell them).

I wouldn't settle for anything less than 100mw on this laser though. $500...

Yup it is available in all the outputs and these are used for mounting on vehicles, aircrafts and it is also god for patrol and checkpoints operations as well.

It is good to have this.

Thanks!!:yh:

I dunno, with a master lathe operator, could make a great 8X host?

It is pricey though and to be honest 5mw in host that size would disappoint the audience. :)

I don't know if people would risk a $138.00 host to make a bluray pointer.

The Kryton Groove wasn't cheap, but to this day it is the pride of my collection.

I know that if I was going all out on a blu-ray build I would most definitely consider it, with the 10% off code. I mean if I am paying 150$+ for a diode, the ~120$ for a host isn't that far fetched. But it really depends on personal taste, I find the Spyder III one of the nicest hosts I have seen, many would disagree.
