Hey guys,

I have a host with a fantastic momentary button on the side and I was wondering. Would it be possible to design it such that the driver was at all times either on or on a standby so that when I clicked the button it simply sent a command to switch the modes on the driver, thereby making it a push button switch(sort of)? I love the host, but I kind of wish it wasn't momentary.

Thanks,
Isaac

Ya know.... if you were a new user with no post count, someone would probably snobbishly raz you for not using the "search function". Of course, since you're not a new user, I won't tease you about it....

I hope this thread helps:

I never actually completed testing. I reflowed a board with one wrong resistor and it half-worked (turned on, but not off). I never did reflow a proper board and test it.

Hey rhd,

Do you still have the gerber files for that board? Can you generate a .bmp file of the solder mask for each side of the board?

I want to try make it with my laser at work.

The problem for me is I haven't the foggiest of what a MOFSET is, and would have never thought to use the word latching. Keywords are hard for laymen lol. But you are right, I could have tried using the search button

Oh, I'm just teasing you ;)

Bob, I probably never made gerbers. Now that Oshpark will fabricate from brd files, I rarely generate gerbers.

Is the brd file not in that thread? If not, I'll upload it tonight.

You want to use your momentary on as a flip flop. Lol. Flip flop flip flop

Like in the SRK yea?

Thing that sucks is that parasitic battery drain :p
