Re: 445nm Pen for sale!

Looks like tidy construction. What heatsinking does it have?

It really doesn't have any, thats why it has the short duty cycle.

Heatsinking would be the Aixiz module. If you follow reasonable duty cycles, the diode will be fine. Just think how hard the diodes in >150mW green pen lasers are pushed without a ton of heatsinking.

Awesome build btw!

Re: 445nm Pen for sale!

I would guess, and this is only a guess, it is about 200-250mW. I am comparing that to other lasers that I have owned, as I do not have a LPM.

If necessary, I would send it to a 3rd party to look at the build quality and check it on a LPM. I am also working on a parallel battery pack to let you use 2 10440 batteries instead of just one.

It is amazingly bright, I would compare it to a 95mW CNI green pen that I used to have, and that pen had a lot smaller beam diameter. You can see the beam in rooms lit by 4 60W bulbs just fine, and in the dark it lights the whole room if its not shining on something black.

And yes TJ, it can pop balloons :na:
