The Kenometer USB is a USB only laser power meter. Connect it to your PC and launch the software execute a macro and you will be able to graph and view live the results of lasers shined onto the laser power meter. The electronics are enclosed in a small 2"x1"x2.5" enclosure with a mini-USB port on the side and a wire going to the sensor. Plug the included wire into the enclosure, hook up the thermopile sensor and go. Power is drawn from the USB buss. Sensor is spectrally flat. Meaning you can measure from 300nm-1500nm without any factoring or adjustments based on wavelength. Can read from 1mW-5000mW. They are calibrated against a Coherent LabMaxII-TO laser power meter.

Re: Sold: Laser Power Meter max. 20 watt

You need a clear picture of the sensors Active area...
The OPHIR 20C-A head is only got to a Max of 5 Watts
with passive cooling.
You will need to run circulating cooling liquid through
it to measure up to 20 Watts and that is not possible
with that 20C-A version.

You should look at the data sheet for that head to get
the true wavelength range of that OPHIR head.

You should also perhaps change the Title of the Thread
to be more accurate.
The price is not bad thought... Good luck with your sale...

Ok. Thanks

Sale continues.

If it is still for sale, you would probably sell it much quicker if you put "FS" in front of the title instead of "Sold"....

People think it is sold already.

Re: Sold: Laser Power Meter max. 20 watt

WANT...! What's the response time on these, you said? REAL TIME?

Read the publicly available datasheet: http://www.ophiropt.com/laser/pdf/20C-SH_20C-A_20C-UAU.pdf

5W freestanding, requires a heatsink for 20W. I'm not sure how you decided that 20W needs liquid cooling...

Unfortunately, this is limited to 5W due to the Arduino's voltage reference.

190-2000nm wavelength range - also on the datasheet.

Ops. :yabbem:
I make a big mistake. My English is poor.
I can not change the subject header!

Ok. Changed. Thank you.

Yes. The real time. Tomorrow I'll be upload video and pictures.

Re: FS: Laser Power Meter max. 5 watt

For those that know meters, is this a good meter? The data sheet also says the min power is 200mW. Does that mean it won't read lower power lasers like 50mW or 10mW?

No. Starting with the lowest power 1mw. Each measure laser power.

 you are correct... I erred it is 20 watts maximum
with CONDUCTION COOLING under certain circumstances..
I stand corrected....:yh:

On the other hand...

The 20C-A-1-Y as those Surplus OPHIR heads are designated
have an output of 1V/W and a limited electrical usable
output of 5Watts whether using an Arduino or other methods
of reading the Head's output.

To get 20 watts of usable electrical output the head would
need to be calibrated to 0.1V/Watt as shown in this Data
Sheet in page 116.... Read that one....

http://www.orcontech.com/data/Ophir_OEM_catalog.pdf

With the electronics in those 20C-A-1-Y heads you still
can't get a reading of more than 5W....

Sorry for the double post.....:yabbem:

I've never used one on those kenometer USB LPMs...
But I can't see why the software can't read as low as the
OPHIR head can...

The OPHIR Head can read below 0mW...
Yeah I think it is a good meter because of the OPHIR
head. The Head alone is worth the asking price...

I'm interested in this. I want to see a photo of the sensor and anything else included please. Mostly though, I need to see a photo of the sensor. Does it come with the software? PM me.

Thank you for your attention.
Yes, the software contains. Cd.
I'll take the camera tomorrow. Tomorrow I will also add photos.

I bought this meter "kenom" members.
