*SOLD* High Powered Red, Dorcy Jr host

This is a Dorcy Jr. Build by Jake21.   Jake estimates it at 230-250mW.  I don't have a meter to test this but it burns black plastic, fabric, etc. at 3 feet (where it is focused).  It will of course light blackened matches and pop dark balloons.  It will light a regular red match in ~20 seconds.

I have had the laser for about 2 weeks.  The open-can diode has only about 5-6 minutes total of use.  I once ran it for a little over 1 minute continuously and the end of the heatsink warmed just a little bit, hardly noticeable.  I'd bet it will run 5 minutes or more without much heat, but I have no reason to try that...

I am selling this to finance other laser projects, and because I have too much $$$ in lasers already!  It is a really solid build IMO.  Asking SOLD, which includes shipping in the continental US.  I will ship elsewhere too at actual shipping cost minus $5.  See the last post below for some good reasons to choose this over cheap imports!

Does Jake's heat sink/module make this a "fixed-focus" laser?

Yes it does, thanks Dave.  It is permanently focused at about 3 feet, and at that distance the spot is 1mm or less.  Across my yard at night (100 feet or so) the spot is a few inches in diameter.

The ~20 second time was for a "regular" red match. A blackened or black match would light significantly faster than a red one.

@ L@z3r:  yes, it lights anything [highlight]black[/highlight] instantly, including a sharpied match.  If I understand correctly, lighting a red match is a different story entirely since a red match absorbs less energy overall than a black match.  I think lighting a red match in 20 seconds is pre tty impressive for this laser, but maybe I should have left this fact out...it seems confusing.

Bump with a price drop, now $70 shipped CONUS. I will also throw in 2 Panasonic CR123 batteries. This is a great burner!
