This is what I found.

SPECTRA PHYSICS 263 ARGON LASER POWER SUPPLY /FREE SHIP - eBay (item 280362971046 end time Jul-24-09 18:53:12 PDT)

I haven't bought one yet. I know the head I have will connect without mods. The problem I have is the 120v connection. Is there some type of adapter I have to get? If there is, where can I get one? Will this PSU run the head without a controller? I want to get this thing running.

Would it be possible to remove the existing power cord and install a normal 3-prong cord?

if the input to the power supply is 120vac and it only has 3 leads coming out of it (hot, neutral, ground) then splicing in a regular 120vac cord should be fine.
