Should I buy a blue?

Considering buying a 1-2w blue, but not sure if I will like it much.

I'm mainly interested in brightness, not burning, and compared to green it's dimmer.

So would the beam of a 100mw green still be noticeably brighter than 1.2w blue when pointed at the sky?

In my eyes, +1W blue laser is way brighter than 150mW greeny.

And diode lasers (445mn.,) beam is much thicker than 532nm's

a 100mw 532nm has a beam 95% as bright as a 1500mw 445nm and a dot that is about 200% as bright. a 100mw 532nm costs about $60... it'd be hard to make/buy a 1500mw 445nm for that price.
So... you can easily get a brigher green with a better dot for cheaper than a blue... your choice.

Dot: (532nm 100mw) vs. (445nm 1500mw)

hmm maybe I'll stick with green then, because there's also the cost of more goggles and the safety aspect

I think you can choose 1w blue. 1w blue can burn everything. 1w bule is brighter than 200mw green. sorry for my english

Don't give false information. As ekeup shows in the link 100mW green is already TWICE as bright as 1.5W blue in dot and almost the same in beam.
And the topic-starter wants brightness and not burning power.
