I am selling a 3.2W 808nm laser, complete with driver.
The unit has just been tried out and has less than 5 minutes of burning time.
It burns like crazy. It has a ttl capable driver for use on cnc machines.

Make a decent offer.

You can view the picture of the laser here:
3.2W 808nm Infrared laser module diode /focusable/CNC - eBay (item 170521628386 end time Aug-31-10 04:28:18 PDT)

It's the same laser.
If you feel more confident I have a 100% (42 total) positive feedbacks on ebay and I am not a vendor.
I will accept paypal for this.
It is unused since I lost interest in lasers, and I need some cash for different projects.

I also have a NEW never used 8A 7W FIBER-COUPLED 808nm laser.
That one needs active cooling. I had bought the expensive diode with the intention of using it to engrave. It's been sitting in the box ever since.

Any decent offer for that and it will come your way.

Be serious as I am.
Thank you,
Tony.

Do you have any was to measure power output on the 808nm also would you be willing to send it to a trusted middleman for testing?

Would you have a photo of your NEW never used 8A 7W FIBER-COUPLED 808nm laser.

I have no way to measure it, but the Amps are 4,5 to the driver, and 4 to the diode, and it burs through 1/4" wood, sets it on fire... that's pretty good indicatin. I can send it where you want, following paypal payment. If you are not satisfied with power output, just send it back in working condition and I will credit the money back. Note that the output can be tweaked on the driver. There is a multiturn pot, but do so at your own risk.
This is as it arrived from O-Like. I am asking 200 + shipping while I paid 350 + shipping. I am losing 150$ and all I did was turn it on for a few minutes.
I totally lost interest in lasers, and I am scared for my retinas. I also have some 50$ 808 goggles from o-like which I can part with for little money, and also have the red goggles for green and blue lasers, and also have the blue goggles for red lasers.

I am a US citizen living in Italy right now, with 49 positive feedbacks on ebay (user since 2001).

The 7w multimode pump with fiber is actually 915nm TO258 package, I am attaching the pdf spec sheet , if you are still interested I will send you picture of the box and the inside of it with the test sheet from manufacturer.

If you need ebay protection, I will put it on ebay and immediately let you know so you can use the buy now button.

I forgot to add, I have several 1w 808nm lasers, a couple 2w ones. I also have a 4W 960nm c-mount. I just mounted it to a cnc cut solid copper heatsink. I'ts in working condition and it burns.

What are the specs for the 1 and 2 watt 808nm's? Are they just the diodes or a complete assembly? And perhaps, as a picture is worth a thousand words, could we get some of the 808's and 960 mounted?
Thanks
Carl

I was thinking something more like this for a middle man.

Finally, you can request to use a "middleman." When using a middleman, they send the item to the middleman. The middleman evaluates the item and informs both parties. If everything is fine, you THEN send the money to the seller. Once the seller notifies the middleman that he has received payment, then the middle man sends the item to you. All you pay for is the one extra shipping charge to the middle man and the shipping charge to you

Peace,
dave

Your data sheet on the 7W laser diode states no cooling required.
But then again here is a 70W laser diode from RS-Components with integrated driver for only 336Kr, app $50.

This is some kind of joke, right?
You are not really trying to pass that 7W one off as a burning diode, right?

If somebody responded to it, you would reveal that it was just joke, right?
And we could all have a laugh, Right?

it's not a joke, I bought it as a mistake, I wanted to do some light engraving with it on my cncmachine. I never got around to build a driver for it.

Having the fiber, the output should be a nice round dot, so all it needs is normal collimating lens and it should burn very well.

This diode is NEW, like in never been powered, and has a test sheet from manufacturer with power output, Amps required etc, specific to this diode.

I would not sell it for 50$, I was thinking more along the line of 150-200.

I will take pictures today of the stuff I have for sale so you can make up your mind. I would not want to go the ebay route because I hate paying ebay commissions, and I hate waiting 10 days for an auction to close.
But if I have to I will put them on there. They are just gathering dust.

The problem I have with that is that I'd have to know and trust the middleman.

A better solution is for me to put it on ebay at a fixed price that we agree on, and offering a refund in case of a return. I'd notify you right away of the listing. You receive it , test it , send it to a middleman , anything you want to do with it. If you are not satisfied, you send it back in working condition and I will do the refund.

Ok, I think I remember Dave (daguin), if I have to send it to him I have no problem, but you'd have to pay the shipping costs up front.
Let me know if you are interested.

I am willing.

If you WERE looking for a veteran who is well trusted, has plenty of laser knowledge and is very well known, to act as the Middleman in a deal.
STOP LOOKING!! You just found him! DAVE

The 70W diode have a duty cycle of 0,1% for an effective 7mW.
No duty cycle is stated for yours.
I assume it is something similar.

ETA: Having checked up a bit, it is actually possible that this is 7W CW and could be used for a burner.
It's just that the lack of pictures and you understanding of the concept of middle man makes me automatically doubtful of you.
