seeking advice for building my first test load

I'm looking at building a test load to simulate the ~200mW red diodes, I have found schematics around that have a lead coming from the positive driver terminal connected with several electrical diodes in series followed by a 1 Ohm resistor also in series that is thenk connected to the negative driver terminal, and it is across this resister where the current is measured.

My question then is what type of electrical diodes and how many would I need to simulate these types of red diodes using the 1 Ohm resistor, or at least what would I do to figure this out. I know it varies depending upon the diode that you use but to get that kind of power out of a red you would be running close to 200mA at 4.5v? Thanks, -Matt.

You need to do some more research... There are drawings and
schematics of a tests load with part numbers on the Forum...
The Diodes are any 1N400X 1 Amp Rectifier Diodes.
