SD301 Problem

Hey everyone,
So last night i was using my 100mw SD301 laser and suddenly poof beam gone.
I bought it from yourlasers.com or dx.com i dont remember. Battery is fully charged. Now all i see is a small red dot INSIDE the head of the laser.
I have take off the focusing lens to take some pictures here are some.
My camera captures something white but In real its just a red small light

Removed the lenses

The light is actually a really small red dot inside it

What is the problem of it, can it be fixed?
If not can i change the diode if thats the problem?

Don't look at the red dot. It looks very weak but it can easily blind you. It is coming from the infrared pump diode.

Your laser is toast and it is very difficult, if not impossible, to fix. Just buy a new one.

here is what happened- the laser fairy knew you would come here for help with as much as a heya-first-- so she broke your laser to show you a better way.


not my idea of a first post at LPF-- not too late to make a good/better first impression..agree?
