Safety Glasses for a 50mW Green Laser?

I am going to buy a 50mW green laser with IR filter

HL 532nm 50-300

I plan on using this only for star gazing, only outside, and never for burning anything. Do I need safety glasses? If you say Yes, my wife is sure as hell not going to let me buy it because she's not going to put safety glasses on so I can show her what star I am pointing my telescope at.

I'm buying a 50mW because I bought a 5 mW cheap-o off Amazon and I couldn’t even see the beam (I live in a light polluted city)

Thanks for any opinions.

No you do not need safety goggles, if you're only planning on using it outside to point at stars. Please do be careful to avoid any aircraft however.
