Got the same one delivered today :-D
You want to screw it open to place the battery?
Perhaps use some rubber to get more grip?
Mine worked perfectly...

Ahh... you know that there is no tailcap to screw open? the switch and the batttery compartment(do you call it like that?) are one piece.
The thread is in the middle of the laser. ;D

I never knew that, I just thought you could take the switch and battery compartment apart because of the DX photos... Well thanks for helping. :)

You can, I have this laser, the whole thing screws apart, heres a picture of mines (save it and rotate) :

In order from right to left, tail cap wth switch, battery compartment, battery, heatsink and holder for the PCB end of the module, module, heatsink, heatsink tube ( heatsink screws inside and then the tube screws on over the module and the other heatsink holder thing.

Really? :-? I'm too weak aren't I? It seems impossible to unscrew the tailcap from the battery compartment without any kind of machinery to me....

What? That is possible? I thought it was one piece
It is possible to replace that silicon thing at the bottom there with a GITD one?
I hope so as I already bought some ;D

Waiting for the gitd clickys to arrive.
DX, ya know  ;D

*edit* Will be a tough job to do. I can´t figure how to screw the back loose !!! theadstarter is right. It seems like it is impossible w/o scratching the barrel.

That sucks. Because I looked forward to replace the tailcap.
But it somehow has to be possible without scratching the barrel.
That is why I don´t dare to put in a vise and use heavy machinery ;D ;D
