Hello folks.my name is robomont.im a current member of pegasus research consortion.i like the general field of physics and prefer kenetic and plasma physics.i came here to learn but i am not interested in getting a doctorate.

I dont know nothing about the laser sword thingy and i so you wont hear me asking about it.
I am into exotic weapons and communication tools.
Im a conspiracy nut and if any of yall are i would welcome you to visit a pegasus private forum.trolls not welcome.

I hope i have not offended the mods by saying that.

I have to admit i joined also so i could have an answer to a question.
Is it possible to send high voltage/tazer down the path of a laser pointer.i know there is zero resistance to electricity at 50%ionization of air but i dont know if i need to use a uv laser or is it even possible at that low wattage.
lets say fifty feet in air at sea level.diameter of beem can be small.

Basically i got the idea to tape a laser pointer on a top a taser and solder a wire to the possitive point and grind off the negative point.then take other end of wire and have it almost touch laser beam.

Am i onto something or is this question answered in a thread somewhere.
thankyou for your time and patience.
Robomont.

Laser lightning guidance is something that's already experimented on and proven, but laser powers required are tremendous and most certanly not something you could "tape" on a tazer gun.

I'm not going to bother you to capitalize your sentences but PLEASE at least put spaces after the commas "." , or fullstop or however you want to call it. Other than that,

Welcome to the forums. See blue line in my signature.

I just read the lightning story and some other threads on here.
they say i need a pulsed uv.

fifty or a hundred feet isnt alot of ionization at one milimeter square.

It would almost sound like your trying to stear me away from my objective.

lets start with what you know of the bare minumum it would take.

im a very fast learner but im also smart enough to ask more knowledgable people.

thankyou for any help.

Well, air ionization via UV to guide a lightning isn't my speciality :p I just thought I'd bring up that I heard of it and that I consider the original idea (laser taped to tazed) impossible to do.

There are some wizards for theoretical stuff that's a bit away from the focus of this forum, Cyparagon is one of them, look him up, he's usually very knowledgable about such things.

It's not my specialty either but I'm just betting your going to need more than 500mW of UV power

BTW Welcome to the Forum

Have fun and be Safe :)

Thankyou guys .

I spent all yesterday researching and what i came up with is i need something in the 85 nm range.

Lol i found a dead end unless somebody here speaks up.

I did watch some utubes on lasers that was pretty cool.

You folks sure spend alot of time just to pop a balloon or light a match.

Now a light saber is actually closer to feasablity than my original post though because most lasers can ionize out a few feet.

Using a small gas tourch feeding into the laser path.

Thats where my endeavor shall focus now.

Again thankyou for your time and help.

Well, you call it popping ballons and lighting matches, we call it enthusiasm.

By same logic, any sort of competitive sport is also useless as hell. But people still do it.

It's the core of concept of "fun".

Good luck with your project, man.

Flamin pyro.its an honor to meet you.
ive been watching your vids on youtube.

As im not an expert like you guys nor have access to the large quantities of lasers.

Townsend brown invented a flame jet generator.my theory is to do something along these lines using a laser to start the process of building up the energy signature then using a torch to increase the wattage per square meter.

I know it sounds crazy but i have a hunch.
maybe three pen uv lasers focused out three feet where they merge.
in the middle of the three would be a gas feed tube. hydrogen is eaay to ionize so it is inserted in between the three lasers.
the gas is held in place by the three beams.
an ignitor would set the gas off allowing a flaming sword as the hydrogen leaks out and bonds with oxygen.

First i dont know if its cookies or graphics but thissite is always slow to download for me.

Next .any newbie should be directed to a graph like the one on lazerer"what can this do"
that was the most informative thing ive seen.

Yes im using search more but usually through google and then i see a laser forum answer but i hesitate because of the download speed.

I have to admit.yall definitely have most of the answers .
i was amazed at the deathray threads .ive searched for those answers for twenty years.
So stars and flags for that .

Being on this site has givin me the bug.now to convince my wife that i need a lazer in each color.
Let me guess .theres a thread on that too?

I missed this OP when it was fresh.
Welcome (insert real first name here)

We have lots of active members so there are few laser fields that exist
that no members have interest in.

I will not pry about you least I become another conspirosy theary---lol

Hope you enjoy this forum.

I have absolutely no clue about the things you have asked about.
but I will give this small bit of advice- when you want to make a new post in a thread and the one before it is also yours just use the edit button rather that a double post,
Our social group LSLF currently has 90 members ... I hope you will be number 91.
