Hello all.

I'm looking for someone that can buy be a laser (and accesories) from Nova. I understand that this is quite a sensitive request (as of all the scammers there have been lately) but I'm willing to give any information you request as long as you're secure with the transaction. I want someone else to get me this laser because Nova didn't accept two credit cards I tried to use yesterday (Amex and Visa), so I'll need to use this method to get my laser before the sale is over.

I'm hoping to use PayPal to send you the money first, as to be secure, and you can even request a trusted middleman if you want, keeping in mind, however, that this transaction needs to be done relatively quickly, as the sales ends soon. Hopefully we can make this transaction happen.

Edit: So I got my laser on my way. Will be posting pics and stuff when it arrives, so I can pad my way into this community. Thanks all!

Re: Requesting a buyer

This has scam written all over it.

I'll do it if you send a money order. I wouldn't risk a chargeback on something like this.

Re: Requesting a buyer

Can't you pay by cheque or postal money order ???

Re: Requesting a buyer

Yes they take a money order but how would he do a chargeback then!

I've seen a similar scam happen before, he sends you the money but asks that you have Nova send the laser directly to him. Then he files a chargeback and wins by default because you don't have a tracking number.

Pretty nice way to repay a favor, huh?

I would say you are right on.
"Unless of course he would accept to gift option in paypal. :)"
On second thought, why bother with paypal, the post office take cash.

Penny's just dropped :) I get where you're comming from now. Yeah I wouldnt do it TBH
the thing does smell of a fishmongers

Re: Requesting a buyer

Well, sorry if it sounds like a scam. And yes, I can make a wire transfer, though it would cost me around 60 dollars to do the transfer in itself. If anyone wants me to send him over some info about me or the transaction just PM me. I'm also planning on sending the money in PayPal as a gift if that makes you feel safer.

Edit:

I'll probably try a wire transfer if anything else fails, or ask someone with, say, visa, to buy it for me. I also sent a e-mail to Nova to asking them why they didn't accept the other credit cards, and if they accept paypal.

They won´t accept Paypal. I will have one of their lasers if they had :undecided:

Re: Requesting a buyer

USPS charge $1.10 or $3.85 for a money order.
USPS - Domestic Money Orders
USPS - International Money Orders

What kind of service charge $60?

A bad service, I guess. =(

That's the price my bank is charging me for a wire transfer, though I'm not sure if I could use another company. I'm pretty sending money abroad from Ecuador is quite hard without a credit card, as I once tried this to get two special issues of a Nickelodeon magazine, payed like 20 dollars to send 20 other, and I then needed to send a physical mail (which I never actually sent, as they costed 35 freaking dollars). The mailing service here is retardedly expensive, or very delayed, if you want it cheap.

Re: Requesting a buyer

If you don't specify a location you will likely be taken for an american, they are the biggest group and do not always realise that there are other options. :D

As for receiving money as a paypal gift and then ordering a Novalaser to some ones else's address?
I do not know what can go wrong?

Problem solved guys, there is no way he can scam anyone while sending the money as a personal payment.

Oh but there is, he could do a chargeback against the charge and paypal will reverse the transaction. Fighting a chargeback through paypal is hard, probably even more so on a "gift."

I suggest western union, send the money to someone then have them pay for the laser. It's usually $6 per $100 from the US to anywhere.

Just called there, they'll apparently charge me some $ 20 dollars for a $ 300 money order. However, I would still need to contact Nova for some information, and their phone services are apparently out.
