red laser project help

i bought a 100mw red laser pen from dx,
altough it is only putting out about 20mw,
soo i have a 300mw 808nm diode lying around i opened up the laser took out the diode and glued the 808nm one in,
will this work?
if soo can someone please tell me wich pins are positive and negitive and "not used" and what i do with the "not used" pin.. just clip it of or solder it to the negative?

How do you figure your 200mW laser is only putting out 20mW?
Your not going to be able to drive your 300mW IR diode with the red diode driver.

Do a little more research on this site, all the information is sitting right in front of you.
