Radiant Alpha calibration? Anyone in Los Angeles with an LPM I can compare to?

Hi Guys!

I have a Radiant Alpha LPM. It seems to read low- advertised 1.5-1.6W lasers (with meter photos) seem to read around 1.2-1/3W with mine, and 1.2W lasers read around 1050mW on my meter.

Readings are consistent- from day to day the lasers measure out at the same max power/.

Is there a way to calibrate the meter?

Even better, is there anyone in the Los Angeles area who has a calibrated LPM I can compare mine to? If I knew the error percentage I can adjust it using math :D

Thanks!

Is it possible you're using a different lens? I know some sellers show the pic of the laser on an LPM with a 405-G-1 lens (Assuming you're talking about 445s here) and offer the lens extra, usually posting that the power will be a few hundred mW less with a different lens.

If you find your Alpha is out of calibration or are just unsure, you're welcome to send it back and I'll recheck it.

Sounds good MarioMaster- can you PM me the mailing address?

I did check my new laser with the G1 and the 445 lens :)

Thanks!
