Does anyone know where to get a replacement diode for the CNI pen style lasers, like DL Viper ?

It looks like a c-mount but hole in the diode in threaded ...

Contact Dragonlasers via their system. They will help you for sure.

Most laser re-sellers will offer service on their products if you ask (reputable ones atleast)

They could probably send you the exact diode or replace it for a fee.

Just to update, I got a reply back from DragonLasers.

They will only supply a complete module including the driver for the same price as a complete pointer, $199!

Any other possible sources for the diode ?

Why do they use the odd size ?

$199, lol. If that was my only option I'd just do this

But yeah, if your crystal is still good, and you want to dive into crystal alignment (which does sound fun in its own way), then you can get a replacement 808nm diode for relatively cheap from some people on here.

it's not really an odd size... buy yourself a c-mount and grind off the bottom (since the diode in there is like a half a c-mount :p ) and tap a hole and you're set!  :)
