This is what you will need for your Direct driven PT-54 Red flashlight build.
You will get a LifePO battery which is 3.2V Nice and low voltage like these LED's require
You will also get a special multi-charger with settings for regular Lithium ion as well as 3V and LifePO.
Price is $30

Are you selling these? I am tired of waiting for my LiFePo4s from China

EDIT: I see you added the price. Can I buy just the charger and battery with out the pt-54?

Nice combo deal. Those A123's work great direct driving that LED.

Yob, I'm confused, did you have to modify your host at all to fit the LED or did it already have some sort of heatsink / mounting spot for the LED?

I'm going to eventually get Jayrob to build me a Red Maglite build with one of these, but since I have two spare, I might toy with the idea of putting one together myself. (Although it won't compare to what he build!)

Also did you have to cut the LED board at all to fit it into that host?

I'm trying to figure out if $50.00 get's me everything I need, other then then LED itself?

You will need tin snips or something of the like to cut the LED to fit on the pill/heatsink of the flashlight.

Do you have the hosts in hand or would you be ordering them as the orders come in?

(see edit notice below)

Aren't you running these things at up to 4.2V compared to the 2.7V they want? Might not be a good thing for the LED or the battery. Including 3x 1N5400 (1Vf variants) running in parallel and then in series with the LED might help.

Edit: Oops, my bad, it's a LiFePO battery, not plain LiPo.

Looks like you figured it out already but yeah the entire point of this thread is that these batteries are lower voltage and this charger has a setting to charger this type of battery.
