Problems Omni Series 43 Ar/Kr laser

I have been able to pick up an Omnichrome Series 43 Ar/Kr laser (Laser 643-LICA-A01; Power supply 171-B) but I cannot get it work.
My problem comes I guess from the remote plug. I could find somewhere instructions telling that the pins 1-3 and 19-21 should be shorted.
When I short these pins, the red lights of the "beam interlock open" and the "safety interlock open" vanish, the light of the "AC connected" staying green, but nothing happens.

Could somenone provide me some help?

The proper pins to jumper are:

1 & 3 --- Beam Interlock
6 & 18 --- Current control using the PSU's pot
19 & 21 --- Safety Interlock

It does not appear that you have an exhaust fan connected. There should be a plug with four pins. Two of the pins are used to power a fan and will provide 240VAC. The other two pins are another interlock and need to be jumpered together. Use a meter since you do not want to jumper the pins providing AC power or jumper the power to the fan interlock pins.
