Nope. These modules are made for a case-positive host.
Negative-to-spring. (opposite of what is in your video)
Also, I'm not sure that your small watch battery (power source) has enough juice (mA) to power the laser. If I recall correctly, the diode requires >400mA to work, and that battery doesn't put out more than 220mAh.

And you are hooking up the negative (-) to the module spring and the positive (+) to the module body (brass part)?
