Pot modding a laser?

Hello people, I just wanted to see your opinions regarding pot modding a NOVA lasers x-25 to achieve a higher output. I am really wanting to do this, but I just wanted to know if it could be done with satisfying results. If not then I don't mind...

You should do a little reading about Pot Modding Lasers...

The general consensus is.... DON'T DO IT...
If you want a more powerful Laser... Buy One...

Do any pot modding with the understanding that you
will more than likely damage or blow your Laser... and
it will be your own fault...

The choice is yours...

What I don't understand is the difference of pot modding an already built laser when more powerful models of the same host exist and of building your own laser and adjusting the current according to your desires. Can anyone please explain this to me in a little more detail. Thanks!

The lasers aren't simply the same just because they look the same. More powerful green lasers have different diodes, crystals and maybe drivers in them. If you try to adjust the power one of those components are likely to break.

A DIY build has the same components no matter what you set the current to. But there is a max, and if you set the current higher than that, the laser will most likely break obviously. Green lasers are already set to the max out of the factory.
