To me, it seems Trump gets hit on the head for lots of things he shouldn't. Reason for this is he wasn't part of the political system, he came up from behind in a flash and got into the POTUS office, now we have a bunch fo jealous career politicians who think it isn't fair and the bastard must go, after all, he didn't pay his dues and is holden to no one.

I've been unhappy with the corruption in Washington DC for years and years before he got into office and wanted an outsider to come in and drain the swamp, notice how actively hateful the dems and radical left have become since he got into office? It's like what I would expect the demons in hell to act like if suddenly their comfortable dark realms were filled with light showing them for what they are.

Only thing is Trump talks like a New York taxi driver and doesn't care who he offends, that is hurting him while at the same time when it infuriates the left they become fools in their behavior and lies compounded even more than before which shows what they are, he then wins again and they hate him even more to become more extreme and begin turning on eachother.

Actually, Nancy Pelosi gets under Trump's skin far more than he gets under any Democrat's. She has played him like a flute, getting under his identity as a reality show star. But, I spent 5 minutes on that abortion he called his star and never went back for more. The guy is and always has been a crook. You should at least admit that and then say he is your crook. He spent years losing case after case after case to the DOJ for his rental policies in NY and had to shut his "Foundation" down because he was caught too many times using other people's money for his own criminal and political advantages. He has been caught trying to strong arm an ally for his own political advantage in the 2020 election. If you watch any other news organization than Fox or read any reputable newspaper like the Washington Post or the New York Times, then you know what this guy has done. Drain the swamp. Kiss my @ss. He is the swamp. He has taken more money as president from foreign interests than any politician before him. He didn't create these conditions but he sure took advantage of them when they surfaced. I believe there are many now who see him as an existential threat to democracy in the US. That is looking like close to 60% of voters in the fall. Let's hope so.

Pelosi, Schumer and Schiff have shown Americans how vile and underhanded they really are, they have done away with our most basic fundamental bedrock rights in labeling Trump guilty until proven innocent, this is as un-American as it gets and everyone should be very distressed about the true existential threat that these radical socialist democrats are and have shown themselves to be.
I expect voters will reelect Trump because doing otherwise would be extremely unwise in the light of what we have been shown.

The sad reality is that all this drama ( R vs L) / (D vs R) is taking away from some potentially catastrophic issues that are developing overseas that will all hit all of us like a tonne of bricks. I am beginning to think that the drama was exposed to be a distraction to developments between the PRC and Russian federation as well as PRC dealings in Africa. Then there are those issues with Uighurs in Western China ( a domestic issue but troubling none the less) .
While the US bickers about Ukraine and legality, China is making a huge move on rare earths while forming a strategic alliance with Russia that includes the positioning of some very powerful military arms. A military conflict with Iran would be nothing compared to a conflict with one of the members of the alliance with Russian federation!

The USA has never looked so weak as it has right now. Internally it is fractured, and citizens are polarized. This is the perfect storm.

I hope that I am wrong and that cool heads will prevail.

Put politics aside and look at the bigger picture.

Actually, if you took the time to watch the testimony in the House impeachment inquiry you would know that the evidence against Trump is overwhelming already. In the month long delay in transferring the Trump's impeachment to the Senate we have heard from Lev Parnas who corroborated much of the testimony we heard during the House inquiry and got the release of emails from a FOIA request that showed the complicity of many of Trump's administration. All roads lead back to Trump as his disregard of his oath of office and the Constitution are unparalleled even against Nixon who was forced from office before he could be convicted when the tapes showing his complicity in the Watergate break in were released. It is now up to the Senate to see if they will compel witness testimony and documents that Trump has refused to allow. In every impeachment trial in the Senate, which includes 15 impeachments of judges, there have always been witness testimony.

HAMDEN, CT—According to a new poll out Wednesday from Quinnipiac University, 54% of Americans approve of President Trump receiving the death penalty, but believe his transgressions have not risen to a level that warrants removal from office. “While nearly all survey participants agreed the president should be executed in a highly public setting, only a minority thinks he should receive a proper burial, with more than half stating that the deceased commander-in-chief should be allowed to complete his four-year term,” said polling analyst Rebecca Glenski, explaining that the results indicate an unwillingness among Americans to effectively overturn the outcome of a presidential election. “Of that 54%, approximately two-thirds said that after he is put to death—preferably by hanging, beheading, or crucifixion—Trump should not only remain in the Oval Office but also be permitted to appear at public events, attend official White House functions, and have a seat at global summits like the G7. In addition, most respondents strongly indicated the president’s corpse should stand for re-election next year so the people can decide whether to remove his earthly remains from office.” Polling suggests in 2020 the bloated, lifeless body of Trump would continue to enjoy a strong, built-in advantage in the Electoral College. ~ The Onion

All I can say is thank God Trump is POTUS, but while saying that I must admit, God had nothing to do with it more than anything else, just that a lof of people were fed up with politics as usual which allowed him to take the office. Well, we sure the hell have lots of nashing of teeth over it now, that's for sure. I say GOOD, nash away!

While Moscow Mitch has spun this impeachment trial as being the same as Clinton's trial without witnesses or documents because Ken Star,Trump's lawyer had actually worked to bring witnesses and documents before the American people when he was investigating Clinton and now is part of Trump's legal team working to not only have no witnesses or documents this time because no one has even tried to defend Trump on the actions that he has done in his perfect phone call or the phone call overheard by so many when he was yelling at Sondland to get the Biden's investigation announced by Zelensky. It is ridiculous to try now to not compel witness testimony or documents when Trump has so obviously tried to keep all of these witnesses from testifying and kept all documents from being released. It is the continuing cover up that nearly daily brings more evidence against Trump as everyone around him claws at the people who have come forward to prove that Trump has used his office to gain advantage in the next election. McConnell is trying to thread a needle by continuing with this cover up while holding onto his caucus to try to get all these charges against Trump dismissed before any one else can testify or any more documents can be released.
