diode + axiz $60 - HighTechDealZ - 445nm 1W (1000mW) Blue Brand New Laser Diode in Aixiz Module

housing + heatsink + module $20 - The Blue M host and heatsink combo - just add diode and driver [Blu_M] - $19.99 : StoneTek Electronics, Your Laser Parts Store

OR (if that doesnt work)

mxdl $12 + heatsink $30 = $42

glass lens - hopefully less than $10 on ebay

driver - would a ddl driver with a 1.2 ohm resistor work for 445nm?

batteries - 2x10440's (already have)

** BASICALLY, im like looking to build the cheapest handheld 445nm if any if you guys have any suggestions or other ideas please post

thanks

2 10440s wont be able to power up ur 445 efficiently...well it always depends on the current ur going to aim for but id say that anything above 400mA with 2 of those isnt that good...

mine at 1A with 3 has problems keeping it juiced...

XD, it will not fit two 18350's. It holds one 18650 or one 22600 and will not supply the correct voltage for a LM317. I sent you a very detailed PM.

If it fits one 18650 then it will work with two 18350. But two batteries will be a bit longer (few millimeters) then one 18650.
