Review of sample sent from DinoDirect
Easy to order- same procedure as buying- enter discount code and amount goes to zero. Shipping from that point was reasonable. Laser arrived in good shape- packing was OK.
I do not like to do 'instant' reviews-- lasers need to be used for a while in order to see how they will do with a few more hours of use. At least until the first set of batteries needs recharging or replacement.
50mW 532nm WF-502B ==link to dino:

SKU: A08780000A
Price USD $28.69-free ship to USA

I like this host for possible use for a 445 nm casio diode build.

Specifications:
1. visible green beam in the dark area. Better, of course with fog or smoke.

2.-WF-502B Flashlight style

3. nice host-- good feel in hand- no strap but does have a clip. Weighs 127 grams w/ battery.

4. Site says 'long' duty cycle- it does look to have slightly better heatsinking than most green pointer pens--- but it could be bigger/better- I still am going to keep it to under 1 min. continious on. Shorter than that it starts to feel warm.
In the description below , however it states---'The laser is bright enough when you light it in normal temperature, so you had better not light it continually over 30 seconds'(quote)

5. Click button --much nicer than a momentary on. But not if you forget to rest it.

6. Operation Voltage: 3.0~3.7V.

7. Wave Length: 532nm.

8. Listed Laser Output: 50mW however measured at 27mWs on Kenometer Lite LPM.

9. data from the Dino site: Beam Divergence Angle: <1.5
-Beam Diameter: <1.0

-Working Mode: CW

-Service Life: 8000-10000h

-Power Supply: 1 x 16340/CR123A battery

-Optimum Working Temperature: 10~30℃

-Size: Approx.133 x 33mm / 5.23 x 1.29in(L x Dia.)see my photos

10. beam spot at 28 feet- 10mm (hard to see in my photo)

11. Class IIIb standard round label on the front. The laser shown on the site has the label on the barrel near the switch. Some errors in spelling are:
“LASERRADIATION-AVOIO DRIECTEYE EXPOSURE” ha ha
However along with a few other errors they have this:(quote)

■Labeled with FDA certification stating "DANGER: Laser Radiation" for Class 3R lasers or "CAUTION: Laser Radiation" for Class 2 pointers.
■Classified as Class 2 or 3R according to the label. Do not use Class 3b or 4 products.
■Operates at a wavelength between 630 nm and 680 nm.
■Has a maximum output less than 5 mW, the lower the better.(end quote)

Wavelenght is incorrect
and I do not quite understand the last line.

12. As far as I know- no IR filter. So actual green output is lower than 27 mWs.

13. IMHO-- Still 100% sure that all the reviews shown on the site are 100% legit. One reviewer says ' It's the best 5 mw laser pointer I have ever seen in my opinion.' Albert's review shows only his title-cannot find his entire review
.
14. After 25 seconds -did not pop a medium dark blue balloon. After making a black spot with a Sharpie-the same balloon, it popped in 11 seconds.

15. Odd smell from inside--maybe from the glue used to secure the tail switch- not enough time allowed for it to cure before assembling.

Additional review photos

Overall rating 4 out of 5, good price.
up to spec or over spec would have been nice.
Others getting same laser got a better output.
An included battery would be nice too. But not if that caused it to be siezed(the old double edged sword).
IR filter needed,a second warning sticker on the barrel would be good.

Thank You DinoDirect for sending the sample.

Heh, spot-on again.. As usual the Chinese pointers put out "about 30mW" no matter what they're rated at. So strange that we see this over and over again.. no matter what they say, its almost always 30mW.

Nice review, though it was a shame the laser wasn't up to spec.

Guess we have another drop shipper to stay away from. ><

PLEASE know this-- DINO puts your full name out there if you ask a question(in Q&A) or post a review--HOW RUDE AND PRESUMPTIOUS!!!

and there seems to be an issue with doing a review-- I tried six time-only to get bounced back to enter PW --I have no time for such crap...

Dino did get back about my issues with the review and the use of my full name (from my shipping info) however it appears they did not either read my email or perhaps did not understand my issue. But at least they did respond in a timely manner. I am still willing to post a review on the Dino site but not if I have to jump thru any hoops to do it. Having to enter my password more than once just to leave a review is not acceptable to me, let alone five times, and when I gave up the site was still asking for my PW again. (btw NOT an error of the PW)... I tried.
