188mw? or 88mw?

188mw was the peak 1s, I am uploading a video on youtube it should explain better than words about duty cycle and stability , link coming quickly

How many times have you fired up your new laser ? and is it still going all the way to 188mW every time ? when I got my new 589 80mW it went to 125mW several times when I first fired it up now it will only start out at about 105mW and drop's from there.

this will also happen to mine probably, I started it few times but I was not always on the front of the meter :yh: but I read the 188 already 3 times

sorry for the video quality, it was done with a Kodak Zi8, this portable camera is quite good but remains "portable" anyway for the money it's a good device

Honestly, I believe it with these lasers... My PGL-III-C-589 was "supposed to be" 20mW. I think Glenn measured it at 45mW, but I'm lighting matches and cutting electrical tape with it, and can see an outdoor beam at dusk with it.

I have to take it down to the university to measure it, but I think it's doing well over 60mW at this point. Not as impressive as these 80s but.... for what I asked for, well....

If you look closely at the first pic, the label on the bag says 594nm for some reason, any way I also cant wait to see 100mWs of yellow in the back yard, fortunatly I will be doing so soon

The max power is was able to read was 188mw

I don't have a 20 mW rated one, it's rated just 5 mW , and I am very pleased as it is generally 20 to 30 mW, even peaks once in a while to 35 mW, :drool:
But I may sell it, as it's something I can't currently afford.
