It is more pricey than the other green lasers on e-bay, but I can't find anything else with at least a push button. Plus it includes batteries, plus, the compare pics have got me pretty interested.

Is there anything I should be weary of? Looks like a guaranteed overspec.

I see that this guy hasn't sold any before so I am not sure if I want to be the first to bite the bullet.

And why won't my damn avatar show up!

The best part for me is that the laser is located in the USA.

Did I post in the wrong section?

I am just curious as to what you guys think as I haven't seen any similar laser like it on ebay. Everything else is the pen style that everyone sells.

GREEN LASER Pointer Switch 5mw MONSTER Military Grade - eBay (item 250723695908 end time Nov-17-10 21:40:19 PST)

If you want a quality 5mw laser stay away form ebay. You want a laser with an ir filter and a a system that detects the lasers output adjusts the pump diode's current. This is called APC.
Check out:
Green Laser Pointer and Laser Accessories from Z-Bolt&#174
Laserglow Technologies - Handheld Lasers, Alignment Lasers and Lab / OEM Lasers

Both of those companies sell lasers that are a lot better than most of the lasers you can pick up on ebay.

Yah I would stay away from cheap greenies, they end up very unreliable even with delicate care. If you're going for absolute cheapy, go with what others have gone with and order something like this
New 5mW 532nm Astronomy Green Beam Laser Pointer Pen - eBay (item 170513331776 end time Dec-10-10 19:27:10 PST)

I know that ebay seller calls these the "competitor" but really, there all cheap lasers in this price range.

There much cheaper to the point that you can handle loosing the money you spent on it easily when it breaks, then you'll have experience with a green laser and you'll know if you would want to drop some money on a real one.

Have fun and don't waste money! that's my theory :D

Dropped in price. The feedback for the laser seems good. I am going to order one now. :D

I bought an e-bay greenie pen pointer and for the price it's not a bad laser though it does need to warm up before the beam is at its brightest. Even for it's cheep price though I would sooner spend a few extra dollars and get a much better quality laser pointer now knowing what I know of them compared to more reputable companies.

I would either get one of the cheapest ebay pointers or go for something that actually works. Chances are that any ebay pen will be about as good as the 7$ overspec 532 pens. If you do want to spend a bit more I would buy a better pen from optoronics or o-like or something thats more reputable than ebay

I bought an ebay 5mW greenie for about $6.

I've had it for almost an year and it is great!

The only downside that it eats batteries (then again, it was pretty over spec for an ebay laser [almost 20mW])
