Odicforce round driver

Hello everyone
I am a little confused with this driver and need your help.
I know it seems very simple but I just want to be 100% sure before I mess something up.

I am using a C6 host and a M140 diode.
My problem is am not sure what connection I need to make to the diode...
Is it LD+ & LD-?
or +ve and -ve?

Also, do any of you have any experience on the best way to heatsink this driver?

LD - & + stand for Laser Diode.
Ve - & + are the battery connections.

I thought that I just wanted to be 100% sure.
Do you have any ideas to heatsink this driver? it's not level so i can't just cover the whole thing.

Id heatsink the regulator chip. The 6 terminal chip above the LD + pad.
