I am just wondering what are other peoples thoughts on this movement.

I think until this protest gains core goals, and a focused leadership it's nothing more than a way for discontent people to went their anger and discontent.

So aside from acting as a social pressure valve (which ironically works in favor of wall street) I don't think the protests are doing any good.

To be honest I'm rather sympathetic... the divide between the super rich and everyone else is absolutely insane.

People want a more fair distribution of money. Since when is that hypocrisy?

For example why should a person pay higher taxes for money they earn from labor, vs money earned from financial speculation?

Spend a year on unemployment looking for work, and you would want more money too... that's not greed, it's just the need to pay the greedy landlord, so you have a place to live.

No thank you... been there, done that. Unfortunately we're more than halfway there... which is ironic. You no longer have freedom of speech, no longer have protection against unreasonable search and seizure.

Second amendment, in a lot of places is a joke... good luck getting a ccw in NJ, or better yet, NYC.

And let's not forget that big staple of communism... the government that spies on all it's citizens.

American government would NEVER do that right? Stoop to such tactics as no fly lists with arbitrary reason perhaps... kind of reminds me of the way jews had a page in passports in russia stamped with a huge star of david on one page.

What we need is for government employees to be held accountable for their actions, to make sure that public workers, and politicians especially actually work in the interests of the public as opposed to their future goals.

How often has a congressman or senator gone over to a "think tank" or a board member position after getting something done in favor of the company they then go to work for?

I'm very sympathetic to these protests. I just don't think they are going to do much of anything, if they do not exert force in someway. Peaceful protests tend to be ignored and squashed... as this one will be until/unless it turns violent.

Spoiled lost children who want a cause and have been led by the left to believe out right lies.
Who pays the most taxes? Who continues to pay more taxes since 1990 this group’s tax share has grown faster than their income share.

Heres a new law,,,,make everyone self employed for 5 years, mandatory.
There would be a bounty on Democrats.

Just look at Vancouver, we had a violent protest for no good reason, and we made world news.

That's just it, most of those people WANT a job, but there are no jobs to be had. If everyone had a decent job, there wouldn't be ANY protests.

The high unemployment rate is WONDERFUL for larger companies because they can pick and choose any new talent as much as they want.

It also means the current employees are treated like shit, with benefits and pay getting cut, and people too afraid to say anything for fear of getting fired.

Conversely wall street bonuses, and golden parachute compensation packages just keep growing year by year.

Lulz.. so would you like to talk about the lies that the right wing has told America all these years? You guys crack me up with your partisan drivel because in your haste to vilify everything and everyone that you don't understand along with anyone who doesn't share your opinions, you fail to see that your behavior makes you a hypocrite. Right vs. left.. divided we fall. Not only does this divide weaken us as a society, it shackles our politicians who often refuse to take a sensible action because said action wasn't dreamed up by their preferred side. This divide you are promoting, THIS is absolute stupidity, NOT some folks looking to exercise their right to protest.

I must agree with Daguin and ElektroFreak both. Here's why.
I hear lots of stuff about corporate greed and so on and so forth from these kinds of "kids" back home. Not one of these kids knows or has the life experience of living in a REAL 3rd world country, I'm willing to bet on it. However what really amazes me as none of them actually have any kind of work ethics. 3rd world has SERIOUS work ethics. Why? if you don't work, no money.. no money no food... you die. Simple.
They (kids back home) think working is having a good old toke with friends and getting laid and couch surfing...

hmmm..... maybe there's a reason.

There is a sad truth to this. This is what ElektroFreak is expressing more or less. The real reason for us as human beings to protest against the Corporate/Government world is mult-fold. at least the kids protesting here in the video are largely missing the point. No jobs that pay decently, Corporations have sold out to the lowest paying countries most of whom could care less about their citizens, selling out their countries of origin in the process, and politicians are fighting amongst themselves over basic necessities like healthcare.
A good portion of the world is getting poorer and more dangerous. Iraq and Afganistan and many parts of Africa are such examples. Last but not least governments who people once considered democratic are rapidly becoming police states. Our freedom of expression and person freedom are at a MAJOR risk.
Republic of S.Korea takes the cake on the regression to dictatorship-era in my books.

Final note... the concept of Right VS Left in the US is a ridiculous smokescreen. Both sides are essentially right wing,
both have major corporate backings to big business and both sides have religious backings.
In contrast to Europe and other parts of the world... exactly put.

Calling someone a hypocrite as if to distinguish yourself from them, only makes you a hypocrite all the same. EVERYONE is a hypocrite. There is not one who can say they are not. Left, Right, Independent, whatever. Such positions are always occupied by hypocrites. Look towards what the ideology teaches rather than what/whom people actually follow while being blind.

Most people can't even correctly explain the roots and reasons about why the left is different than the right apart from specific issues- they can't even explain what makes them "distinct". They're blind. So of course there are hypocrites among them.

In other words, follow liberalism - not other "liberal" people.
Follow conservative-ism - not other "conservative" people.

Are you more after what Alexander Hamilton conceptualized?
What about Thomas Jefferson's ideals?

Vilification is something you attach to be "right wing". But this is not what it teaches. This is something that people do, namely everyone.

Dude, I only mentioned the "right wing" to balance the previous sentiments in the post I responded to, NOT because I support one side over the other. Also, I didn't attach a label to anyone in order to "distinguish myself from them". Only to point out the folly of partisan stupidity. BOTH sides lie, BOTH sides are hypocrites, BOTH sides hinder the legislative process on account of partisanship and I support NEITHER. I do hope that's clear enough.
