Numbers on the warning label? what do they mean?

*I posted this in the green laser forum then realised it would be more suited here*

On the warning label that states the power output and that laser light is emitted from the aperature, there are normally a number at the bottom. Such as 'No: xxxxxx'

Does this mean anything at all? or is it just a random number that serves no purpose? Regards

It's probably a serial number , eighter for the laser or the label itself.
