My original 07e died early run at only 3.4 - 3.6 amps, but I now again happily bask in it's sky blue glow.

Where did you find that MX900 for $15? I've only seen them for at least twice that much.

I found that my 07's were just slightly out of focus with the gball. It is very easy to "re-focus" the g ball with 2 positive lenses. 07=====()===()====> . Adjusting the distance between the two positive lenses can bring the diode into perfect focus. I didn't try, but am guessing it can help focus at a distance.

Thanks for the MX900 link. Had one host and 2 sinks so needed another one. It's not that easy to find decent switches.
Nice vids and pics too. +REP

I run mine at 3.5 amps and use a SXD driver, I would love to run a whole block of these, the color is great.

The Gball on the nubm06 focuses pretty well to about 1/4 by 1 inch at 15 feet but the 07e is about 1 inch by 2 inches at 15 feet with it's Gball, they look the same removed, but the 07e likes the G7 from SANWU

I had deleted 60 videos and 620 pics early April 2016 so I will clean up what I can and start over, they nubm07e is a gorgeous wavelength, much brighter looking than 450nm.

The factory data sheet says 3.5a Max so you would think 4.0 would be no problem, they do make a bit of waste heat and power stops going up but spectrum shifts. Hold on I will see, I think Cypragon posted a graph.

By the charts 4.0a looks ok, I use the SXD it has a ramp up cap, if you ask DTR about the driver he can tell you what will work best, but 4.0 should be ok, but if its a hot pull vs a cold pull it may not last as long or it may, I think the more you stress anything the sooner it will fail, so if yours is hot pulled I would stop at 4.0, but that's just my guess. I could be wrong, mine has 2 small lines in the raw output, but they seem to have healed. Right now it's going strong.
I know DTR cold pulls his, I prefer cold pulled, but I also like a good deal, so far this hot pull of mine is doing well.

Really it should be ok, just don't cook it.

I have this diode. It's going into a MX-900(Thanks Red.) Just waiting for my heat sinks to be finished up and shipped back to me. I'm going to be running it at 4A with a "potted" driver. I love my 462nm this should be even better.

Who is making your heatsink?

Just got my s4x in, man it's beefy. Whole things a heatsink. Getting ready to order some diodes/drivers. Been carrying around a 35mm lens out of a flashlight I tore down for a host. Have found several flashlights that can host the 35mm module

I saw an Ozark trail 3 C cell that looks like it should be close to 35mm at the head, the tube would take 2x26650.
But I am planning a bigger multi diode build, I would like to use a whole block...I would like to stack 2 blocks of 06's and use big round double concave / double convex lens and see what I can do with it.

If prices keep falling, soon I will strike. :eg:
