Hi Folks,
I have a laser which is purported to be a Nova X125 however it is only outputting max around 80mW. When I remove the lens assembly from the end I get an output closer to 150mW mark.
Can someone familiar with this NOVA Lasers tell me if the max power output on these is measured by the vendor without the optics in place?
Thanks!
EDIT : I have looked at their testing methods here : http://novalasers.com/testingmethods.html and I see them testing an X-Series with the end cap in place, so I suppose this answers my question.
I did once get about 100mW out of the laser with the lens in place with brand new Energizer Lithiums but subsequent tests are showing much lower power even with different sets of batteries.
