That is exactly the realization I hit when I got into the hobby though I don't regret a penny (other than a failed o-like buy). Now I have more lasers than I should have and want to make more but my wallet prohibits. You think building a low power 405nm is costly though... wait until you want to build a high power 445nm 9mm laser lol.
