Hi, i am new to this forum and to laserpointers. I found some lasers in a shop where i live.
Could you say if it would be a good choice to buy it?
1.Laser Diode
Color: Red
5 mW
Type: DL 3149-057
670 nm
RoHS-conform: Yes
Price: 16€/20$/14.5 British Pounds

2.Laser Diode
Color: Invisible
10 mW
Type: QL78F6S-A
780 nm
RoHS-conform: Yes
Price: 16€/20$/14.5 British Pounds

3.Laser Diode
Color: Red
3 mW
25 mA
Type: HL6356MG
635 nm
Min/Max temperature to use: -10°C/+50°C (14°F/122°F)
RoHS-conform: Yes
Price: 8€/10$/7 British pounds

Which would you tell me to buy for a laser pointer? I want a Laser Pointer which can pop balloons and maybe light up candles (if this is possible)?

I've never seen a diy a red laser light a candle before. Don't get any of those diodes cause there all quite weak. Theres plenty of better sources here on LPF.

The one I have quoted I cannot see the point of at all, 10mw of IR, not enogh to burn anything but enough to blind you when you look into the aperture to see if it is working, great product.

I agree with hydro, look in buy sell trade, there are some nice lasers there....or make your own, the info is all here to help you.

You don't even need a laser to pop a balloon . . . . . . .

You can pop a balloon with a pointy stick :p :D ;D ;)
